Recommended Routes
Kerry Head
Distance: 20.9 km
Elevation: + 244 / – 237 m
Maximum Gradient: 10.2 %
This 21k route follows the North Kerry Coastline and begins from Ballyheigue and ends again in Ballyheigue in a scenic and rugged loop that will take your breath away.
Slea Head
Distance: 46.4 km
Elevation: + 654 / – 652 m
Maximum Gradient: 22.4 %
This 46 Kilometer route is simply spectacular. It leaves Dingle and heads west out the Dingle Peninsula with views beyond compare and a route that is perfect for cycling on any type of bike.
Gap of Dunloe and the Black Valley
Distance: 54.5 km
Elevation: + 898 / – 898 m
Maximum Gradient: 17.7 %
This 55 K route is very difficult on the legs but for the cyclist with a sense of adventure you will not be disappointed by one of the most scenic and beautiul parts of Ireland.
Camp -> Annauscaul -> Castlemaine -> Tralee
Distance: 76.8 km
Elevation: + 899 / – 899 m
Maximum Gradient: 26.4 %
This 77K route is one only to be cycled those who are up for a challenge. This can be quite a testing spin which offers a large variety or terrain as well as the strong chance of dealing with unsheltered prevailing atlantic winds for sustained periods, but will they be to your back or your face, you won’t find out until you go!
