Scartaglin GAA are holding a fundraising cycle on March 27th and 10:30am.

There are 2 route options on the day with a 15 mile and 30 mile circuit available,entrance is €20 and sign in from 9-45am in the scart heritage centre.

ROUTE 1 – SCART- C’ISLAND-CURROW -SCART
ROUTE 2 – SCART – C’ISLAND – CURROW – SCART by 2 laps

This 79 Kilometre route has everything a good cycle should, it’s a good distance, has some great scenery and a tough climb to boot. This route also takes in part of County Cork and passes some very historic terrain.

This 14 Miles/22 K route is probably the most famous cycling route to anyone who has cycled in Currow, especially seeing as it is the route for the John Drumm Cup race held in June annually. It is known as being a very tough route with combinations of short and sharp climbs as well as fast descents and rolling roads.
