Ardfert -> Kilmoyley -> Abbeydorney
This 35k/22mi. route heads along the coastline from Tralee towards the village of Ardfert and continues northwards towards Ballyheigue passing Banna Beach on the left on route. Just before Ballyheigue there is a right turn to bring you along an inland route which meanders up and down with gentle climbs and descents through the village of Kilmoyley. The road allows a flat and rolling pace until the village of Abbeydorney is reached where from there until most of the ways into Tralee there is a climb with a serious of undulating sections which in isolation are not dfficult but together can tire the body before a very welcome descent back into tralee.

I love this route! Mostly flat and rolling roads, once you head inland before Ballyheigue the roads from Kilmoyley to Abbeydorney are quite, and narrow but mostly traffic free. The climb out of Abbyedorney can be tough especially if the wind is facing you, however the descent down into Tralee is more that worth it!
