Lacey Cup 2011 – Sunday, 27th February.
Tralee Bicycle Club’s annual race the “Lacey Cup” gets the Munster Road Racing Season underway in Late February and is a 75km race. The race is run on a handicap basis and starts at George Poff Sevice Station on the Dingle Road at 12.15pm.
The route takes the riders on to Camp, then there is a prime at Gleann a Gealt for the Jackie O’Connor Trophy. It is on then to Annascaul where the riders will turn left just outside the village onto Inch, Castlemaine. Then another left turn and a prime at the top of the Sliabh Mish climb for the Teddy Griffin Trophy, before the descent to the finish at Skehanagh just outside the town of Tralee on the N70 (Tralee-Killorglin Road).
