Reality starts to bite!

With what was a good first week down in #fitforfeb week 2 proved to be a bit more demanding.

Things started well enough with a nice sunny Sunday recovery stroll around town and it’s park. Later on that day that awful feeling of a cold or flu started to hit me. Nothing more to it, just grin and bear it and do my best!

The next 2 days consisted of a well wrapped up walk by the Blennerville canal and a solo cycle spin out around the Ballymac area. Both exercises reaching just about the required distance.Cloghers

Things started getting better all round come Thursday, with an excellent cycle out to Castleisland with my Thursday cycling buddies Carmel, Siobhan and Launa. This took us on the back road and probably main road from early in the last century through the likes of Clogher and so, so close to the elegantly named Mweenalaa. Try asking for directions to there from Dublin Port!Tralee River Lee walk (1)

Probably the highlight of the week was a group cycle on Saturday out to Ballybunion via Listowel, the North Rd and Causeway. A nice 90 km but in great company with plenty of banter to keep everyone smiling. Oh and the sun shone and the wind speed was about 2 kmph! Always helps!!
