Tralee-Ballyard-Blennerville-Canal Loop
Tralee-Ballyard-Blennerville-Canal loop walk
The Nitty Gritty:
Route: Tralee-Ballyard-Blennerville-Canal loop walk
Distance: 8.5km
Height gain: 44 metres
Difficulty: 2/10
Details: On leaving Tralee town centre head past the Brandon hotel and cross the road passing the Aqua-dome and Wetlands Centre. Head up your only hill of the day toward the leafy Ballyard road.
At the top cross roads take a right. After taking a couple of sharpe bends down the hill you’ll walk a straight country road following the railway track and marshes from Tralee Bay.
At the T junction you enter Blennerville. Here is the option to explore the Windmill or chill in one of the pubs.
Tale a right over the bridge and then continue over the canal bridge. Then take a right and follow the canal toe path back to Tralee.
Experience: A nice handy walk to loosen out after yesterdays cycle and Tuesday’s walk.
Nice enough weather for the time of year.
